Be a Part of Redondo Beach History!
We’d like to invite you to be a part of Redondo Beach history! We are creating a surfing mosaic mural, to be installed at the Redondo Beach Civic Center.
The wall is located in the multi-use parking lot in front of the Redondo Beach Police Department, visible from Pacific Coast Highway. The mural is 5’ x 35’, depicting two surfers walking along our beach at sunset, and will be created by mosaic artists Debbie Collette and Patti Linnett of dp mosaics, whose works include the Ocean Steps at the Redondo Beach Pier and mosaics along Harbor Drive.
This wonderful mural to beautify our civic center has the approval and support of the RB Public Art Commission and the endorsements of the RB Police Chief, the RB Mayor, RB City Manager, RB Public Works Director, and CA Assembly Member Muratsuchi. In addition, this effort is in perfect timing with California Governor Jerry Brown’s passing of the Assembly Bill AB1782, making surfing the official state sport. We’d like to offer you the opportunity to support this beautiful project by purchasing a sponsorship brick. The mural is scheduled for completion Spring of 2019.This is an incredible opportunity to have your name, business, or commemorative inscription prominently visible right at the RB Civic Center, next to the Police Department entrance. We have a limited amount of bricks. Donate now by completing the attached sponsorship form, or directly online with the donate button at friendsredondobeacharts.org, to be part of this wonderful civic project! We would be grateful if you can share this with your friends who might also be interested in this project.
Make your tax-deductible donation today and help beautify our city by purchasing a brick to be installed next to the mural.
